Poem

Instructions

And you are the one who set the trap.
The ideas that lingered fell apart real fast.
Lust is a mighty thief.
Wherever it goes, it gives no remorse.
And I feel it as my own heart.
That we are better on our own.
Knowing we were better apart.
I'd rather leave you all alone.

And then i set the trap.

I'm just a girl who fell into lust's trap.

So many wanting to rap, to get up out of the trap.

And you are the one who set the trap.

The rat's small red eyes peer out of its trap.

None of the above

Lust is a savage beast.

Lust is a mighty thief.

Lust is a thief.

Lust is like a swarm of bees.

Lust is a lie.

None of the above

I cried and we both knew I was shattered

I knew what that meant

When I cried and you held me in your arms

When I told you I'd do anything

Or the time you gave me your last of you

None of the above

And the stifling wind blows straight into the heart.

The stifling wind blows straight into the heart.

And i feel it as my own heart.

Then a tear dripped from the heart.

Is a heaving, gaping hole in my heart.
