Title: Pivoting Our Destiny

Poem

Instructions

I’m not looking for a destiny.
But a better way out.
Destiny is a strange term
To describe what life is all about.
Life is meaningful only in the moment you live it.
So why hold onto grudges that make it hard to pivot
But the truth is all about making sense of who we are.
Cherish each moment and then you'll go really far.

I’m not looking for a destiny.

The savagery of one who carves his own destiny.

But the scream of a flower that hopes for heavenly destiny.

The tyrants and the petty kings were the destiny.

The tumult of blood and of destiny’s sway.

None of the above

Destiny is a cruel mistress and I've been teasing her mercilessly.

Destiny is a sham.

Destiny is a cruel mistress.

Destiny is a strange thing.

Destiny is a flimsy thing.

None of the above

Is meaningful only in the moment in which.

Is meaningful.

Is meaningful? and who are those who decide.

Is life then not meaningful.

To make it meaningful.

None of the above

And what the genii of the place is all about.

And if a man is walking about.

But the truth is all about.

The solitary adirondack chairs round about.

And i, who ne'er was idle, look'd about.
